  1. Fill a sizable pot about 3/4 filled with water and produce to some boil. Stir in sugar and fresh lemon juice, dissolving the sugar. Lightly place ears of corn into boiling water, cover the pot, switch off heat, and allow the corn prepare within the warm water until tender, about ten minutes.
